Hi, I’m Gunner’s mom, Andrea.  I took Gunner for a visit with our regular vet 2 weeks ago to have a few lumps looked at.  One of them is fine, but the one on his head is a mast cell tumor, which unfortunately, is cancer.  It is strongly recommended to have this tumor removed as soon as possible so as not to have a greater chance of it getting bigger.  We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Gunner has a successful surgery as well as the tumor coming back as a low grade, which would not require radiation.  If it comes back as a high grade, he will need radiation.  We won’t know until pathology comes back after surgery.

Our family consists of myself, husband, 3 year old son, 8 year old Vizsla, and Gunner who is 7.  Our pups were our first “children” and mean the world to us.  Our son has become very close to them too.  We would be grateful beyond words if you decided to donate to Gunner’s surgery costs.  Thank you for taking the time to read his story and if you can’t donate, please keep Gunner in your prayers.
