My name is Heather, and my son Logan was in a horrific car accident on May 23rd. He was air lifted to the hospital with a severe brain injury. As of now he has had a part of his skull removed to help while his brain swells and he remains in a coma. My son is only 18 years old. He is a firecracker, stubborn as a mule but has a heart of gold. He has an older brother and his best friend is his younger brother who is only 9 who misses him so much. The donations I am asking for will help in many ways. It is important to me to keep his phone on, the bill paid and pay his credit cards. He was so proud of himself for landing a job with Cal Fire cutting trees and being able to start building his own credit. I, his mom, lives 3 hours away from the hospital. I have been living out of hotels and will continue to do so until my son is ready to make that journey back home with me. So yes, I am also asking to help me stay near him by donating to help cover my hotel costs, for I have taken FMLA from my job. Also the future is unknown and we have no idea what medical costs are covered, not covered or how much after care and rehabilitation he will need. I cannot leave this area, I have to stay by my son. He has so many friends and family that love him so much and are praying everyday that he comes out of it. The future is unknown, but I’m asking for donations to make sure our future with him in these most critical, delicate times are less stressful. Thank you
