My heart is breaking as I share the news of Brandon's passing. For anyone who does not know, Brandon is Amari's father. He was suddenly and violently taken from us; killed just steps away from his home. He was so young and working hard to better himself for his son, who he loved so dearly. This senseless act of violence ripped Brandon away from his family; Brandon was a beloved son, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, friend, and father. He now leaves behind his one and a half year old son, Amari. In his final moments, Brandon repeated Amari's name and expressed how much he loved him. This was the message he most wanted to convey as he feared the worst. These words were passed on by a good Samaritan who was with Brandon after the incident. Brandon was unable to see Amari again before his untimely passing. This all seems like a never ending nightmare that we wish we could wake up from. It feels as though at any moment we will receive a text or call from Brandon and this terrible nightmare will finally end...however, we know this won't be possible.

 

 

There are no words to express the heartache Brandon's loved ones are feeling at this time. This has been such a tremendous and traumatic loss for his family and friends. We simply cannot imagine life without him.

 

 

We are asking for support to assist his family as they plan Brandon's funeral. No parent should have to bury their child and there is nothing that can truly take away this pain.
