H is a young man. At the age of 15, his parents sent him to Turkey in the hope of a better future. During his final year at university, he was unable to pay the fees and lost his residence permit. Since then, he has been living without papers, in a dangerous and uncertain situation.

In Istanbul, migrants – and especially black migrants – are often the target of police checks and discrimination. The jails are dangerous and heavily overpopulated. Habeeb risks his life by going to the supermarket, by meeting his friends, by getting a job, by taking a walk.

With this fundraiser, we want to contribute to a better and safer future for him, outside Turkey.
