My name is Kymberlee Saunders. I am currently a resident in Georgia, however, I was born and raised in The Bahamas. As many are aware of the catastrophic Hurricane Dorian that has hit specifically the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco and caused tremendous damage. I have many family members that still reside on Grand Bahama and some including my aunt Krystle and her family have lost everything. My aunt Kyrstle and Uncle Opee have four children together ages 13, 11, 10 & 3 and are in need of assistance.During this storm they were stuck in their attic for two days with no food or water awaiting rescue while watching their house fall apart and part of the roof be torn off. They had to endure water surges and winds of 180mph and a gusts of over 200 mph. They could only gather together and pray for life as all of this was unfolding before their eyes.
When rescue finally came the were taken by jet skis through a hole my uncle cut in the attic and we are grateful to report that everyone made it out safely.
We’re trying to raise money to help them get back on their feet. This money will be used to provide food, clothes, toiletries, school supplies and building supplies. Any donation is appreciated. Thank you!
