Updated: Due to unexpected expenses, we are sorry to raise the goal amount. We appreciate all the generous contributions and love shown to Amadou. Thank you to all for your continued support during this truly difficult time.
Please help us lay Amadou to rest. We are suffering an unimaginable loss and heartbroken after losing Amadou to gun violence on July 17th. He was a sweet, thoughtful, intelligent kid that influenced so many lives - touching the lives of every person that got the privilege of getting to know him. He has a huge community of friends that love him dearly and miss him as his family does.
Amadou was working hard for his future through family, work at UPS, and a full scholarship to PSU for mechanical engineering after just graduating from high school. He had dreams of designing a solar car. As Moussa put it, he lost a son but the whole country lost its future.
Amadou is mourned by his Father - Moussa Keita, Mother - Karin Keita, three sisters - Molly, Aisha & Ami and his brother - Ibou, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles. Information about a memorial & gravesite service will be forthcoming.
