Help for Isla

Donation protected
My niece Isla Grier Foster is an energetic, mischievous and sweet 2 year old who loves Bluey, Disney Princesses and keeping up with her 6 year old brother Sutton whenever possible. Her parents - Kelli and Russ - were questioning some issues with her walking which appeared suddenly a few weeks ago. Within just a few days of noticing a problem, they rushed an unresponsive Isla to the local hospital where they received the unthinkable news of a brain mass. Their 2 year old daughter was transported to Children's Wisconsin where some more imaging led to emergency brain surgery. Although she made it through that surgery like a champ, it has already been a tough and scary road with brain swelling, seizures and some possible lingering brain tissue damage. The entirety of the mass was not able to be extracted.

The biopsy came back as ETMR, which is a rare brain cancer found in infants. Isla will undergo a rigorous schedule of chemotherapy over the next 18 weeks. We would implore you to please pray for Isla's recovery, wisdom for her amazing team of doctors and strength for Kelli and Russ. They are committed to being with Isla every day and night while also trying to maintain some stability for Sutton. As you can imagine, this is an extremely difficult time. If there is anything you could donate to help with the logistics of being away from home as well as work for an extended period of time, we would all greatly appreciate it. The outpouring of support Kelli and Russ have already received has been a bouy during these last few weeks.

Many thanks,
Alexis Sprecher
