Dx with stage 3 lung cancer and unable to work

Hello Facebook family!
Family being the operative word. For us, family is everything and EVERYWHERE! It’s all hands on deck if you’re a Hamar. This crew grew up in a three bedroom house with 12 kids…my mother being the oldest and still doting on her “little” brothers and sisters to this very day.
I’ll never understand how that worked, but it worked for them and you will never find a more bonded bunch. Now that one of the Hamar 12 has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, we need our “family” more than ever. We need to be “Geno Strong” for my Uncle Eugene.
While he puts all his energy into fighting this terrible disease, he’s employed but sadly, unable to work. I’d like to find a way to help and I thought maybe others might feel the same.
One thing about Uncle Gene is that he’s got the best outlook and always finds a reason to crack a joke to make someone laugh. He’s our lovable goofball, still making others smile, but smiling, for him, has been extra difficult as setback after setback, pneumonia and low blood counts, his treatments have been delayed furthering this struggle and making it more difficult to make ends meet.
Any support your generous hearts can send his way would mean the world to this “Geno Strong” family that I love so very much.
With sincerest gratitude,
