Hello everyone, I am fundraising for a friend of mine with 7 children and husband with high healthcare needs and just lost her house to a fire. Antonio and Lucretia are proud parents of 7 children. Antonio was diagnosed with Lupus in 2000. Since the diagnosis he has also been diagnosed with IPF. He has continued to fight many years until he had to be placed on oxygen 24/7. In 2020 his pulmonologist recommended that he be placed on lung transplant list. He was denied at UW Madison and also at Freodert in Wisconsin due to being too high risk. He was referred to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago where He was eventually listed in July of 2020.
In September of 2023 he was called to receive the double-lung transplant with conditions of them relocating to Chicago for a minimum of three months. Where he has remained since the transplant due to complications. He has since improved but hasn’t been able to be discharged from the hospital. During this hospital stay they decided to leave their children home in the care of their oldest daughter and other family members. And if that wasn’t enough, right before Christmas on December 20, 2023 they received a call from their children that their house was on fire. Everyone is safe but unfortunately they lost everything in the fire. Hopefully We can help them get back some of what they lost. Thanks in advance
