Dwyer-Vautour Fire Loss

Last night, March 15, my daughters and I lost personal belongings in a fire at our apartment. Thankfully we are all safe and the quick response by the fire department prevented the fire from being much worse than it could have been (the fire was contained to the master bedroom, but there is water damage to much of the apartment). We returned this morning to try to determine what could be saved and I have realized that as much as I hate asking for help we are going to need it to get through the upcoming weeks. We lost all of our clothing/shoes, much of the furniture we had in 2 rooms, and all of the money I had put aside that was supposed to go towards Lexis' graduation. We are trying to stay positive and focus on the fact that we are safe and lucky enough to have a wonderful support system and therefore have a place to stay until we are able to move back in. My landlord and his wife were traveling at the time of the fire, but stayed on the phone with me for the 2 hours that it took for the fire department to clear the scene. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did to get us through the night. We thank anyone who takes the time to read/share.
