Support Mike's Journey to Recovery

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are reaching out to share the story of Mike Paquin of Cornwall, Ontario, Son of Laurie MacEachern (Cornwall) and nephew of Tom MacEachern (Calgary, AB) who recently faced a life-altering tragedy. After an unfortunate fall late Friday, Sept 27th , Mike sustained a severe spinal cord injury and underwent an 8-hour surgery to repair damage to his C3-C4-C5. He had also sustained a spinal cord contusion above C3.

However, there is hope—after nearly 72 hrs of being completely paralyzed from the neck down - Mike has made some progress and regained slight mobility in his arms and legs, though the full extent of his recovery remains uncertain. His journey ahead will require months, if not years, of intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Mike is a true fighter, a talented musician, and a devoted father to his 13-year-old son, Gabriel. He has always been a pillar of strength for his family, providing unwavering love, support, and guidance. His passion for music has brought joy to many people, and now he needs our help more than ever as he faces this long and challenging road to recovery.

The expenses for ongoing medical care, adaptive equipment, and rehabilitation will quickly add up, along with general living expenses. Our goal is to alleviate some of this financial burden so Mike can focus on healing and spending precious time with his son.
