Rudy's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hey there! My name is Ryan Nealon and I'm not really the type of person to ask for help, but I definitely need it. A few days ago, my cat Rudy was having a hard time walking and wasn't eating so I brought him into the vet for a checkup and to get an additional opinion. As soon as I walked into the vet, the veterinarians urged me to bring him to the ER to see a neurologist since they only specialized in general practice and they were really worried regarding his behavior. After taking him to the ER, they immediately admitted Rudy and started running a bunch of different tests and labs including blood panels and an MRI. The day after he was admitted, the Neurologist found that he had a thymoma in his chest (a mass) and enlarged lymph nodes and suspected that he was suffering from something called Myasthenia Gravis, which is a neuromuscular disorder that causes weakness and fatigue due to impaired communication between nerves and muscles. Although the diagnosis is still up in the air as we wait for formal results next week, what we do know is that this is not going to be over anytime soon.

After 3 days of being in the ICU, as you can imagine the bills are extremely crippling. We're currently at a total of over $12,000, and we're expecting it to continue to grow over the next few days since he is still in the ER until he can be released. I'm doing everything I can to afford all of these bills, but I'm a full time musician so there is eventually going to be a ceiling and it is vastly approaching. The doctors also hinted that if it is Myasthenia Gravis, Rudy will be on medication for the rest of his life and he will potentially need a surgery to remove the Thymoma, so any additional help would be immensely appreciated. We expect that insurance will cover a portion of it, but there will be plenty left over that I'll have to cover. My heart is breaking writing this and all I want is for my boy to come home and to live a full and happy life.
