Hello All,

As many of you are aware, my father, Dwight, was an extraordinary individual. He embodied qualities of quietude, love, and selflessness. When he wasn't spending time with his grandchildren or showering affection on his wife, he was immersing himself in the latest and greatest technology.

On October 15th, 2023 Dwight departed from this world after a valiant battle. We find solace in the fact that we were blessed with 61 remarkable years by his side.

His health declined in late August when he was diagnosed with a kidney and bladder infection. During his treatment, he unfortunately contracted meningitis and began experiencing multiple seizures. Regrettably, one of these episodes left him unconscious, and he did not regain consciousness. He spent several weeks under the care of the exceptional medical teams at UCSF Parnassus and UCSF Mt. Zion, surrounded by his family.

While we held onto hope for his recovery, it became evident that, though his physical body remained, his spirit had departed. We made the incredibly tough decision to let him find peace, surrounded by his loved ones and the dedicated medical professionals who cared for him.

Dwight's legacy lives on through his loving wife of 39 years, Marina, his children, Dwight Jr., Amanda, and Katrina, and his eight cherished grandchildren: Malia, Willie Jr., Mario III, Alonzo, Faith, Hope, Kaio, and Erin.

All contributions will be directed towards covering the costs of Dwight's service and medical bills. Your love and support during this challenging time are deeply appreciated.
