Who is DwellWell
Long before ‘sparking joy’ long became a trademarked phrase, DwellWell was doing just that by bringing order to client’s lives with our menu of lifestyle management services (professional organizing, relocation services and on-call personal assistants). We started DwellWell out of a studio apartment in New York City during the recession of 2008. The fact that we kept growing in an economic downturn was testament to the need for our services.
Today we are proud to be pioneers in a competitive profession with thriving business and no investors or debt. Over the 12 years we’ve been in business, we have been with our clients at their most pivotal life moments. Whether we are making room for a baby or delicately assisting during a divorce, we have supported our clients through every life transition with deep trust and care. As a women-owned business, we strive to provide a flexible, meaningful and rewarding work environment which allows our team to pursue what’s important to them in their lives outside of work.
Here’s who will benefit
The backbone of our company is our brilliant, professional, diverse, caring, self-starting, mega-talented team. Our unusually flexible work model affords our employees the freedom to pursue life outside work. Our team consists of artists, mothers and other creatives figuring out a way to balance their passions with their responsibilities. What we recognize and aim to support is the enthusiasm, dedication and joy they bring to their work that comes from having a life/work balance.
Our main goal in raising money is to be able to support them while under the stay-at-home mandate and help them make ends meet until everyone gets back to work.
Here’s a glimpse into who they are . . .
And here’s what our clients have to say about our team . . .
I wanted to say thank you so very, very much for an incredible job with our move. It’s unbelievable how skilled your team is and how easy they make it look. We walked in on Sunday and it was as if we had just been magically moved with everything in its place, down to my toothbrush. I can’t thank you and the team enough.
This experience has been mind-blowing! Never in a million years did I expect things to go as flawlessly as they did, nor the kindness and professionalism of your team. Every day, I was blown away and thanked the stars for sending me these angels. Today is their last day and I will miss them in my home!
Thank you so much for all your help and support during this difficult project. I am writing to let you know that your team were so wonderful and helpful. They are outstanding, lovely, and professional women. They did an amazing job, and made a challenging, daunting task as easy and pleasant as possible. I cannot thank them enough for all they did for me and Paul. Their compassion, intelligence and good cheer made the week go fast!
How we plan to use funds we raise
Due to the hands-on nature of our work and because we operate in people’s homes, our business, like many, has come to a standstill as a result of the Coronavirus. As mentioned above, supporting our team through this economic crisis is our primary motivation. In addition, some of the money raised will go towards our operating expenses to ensure the stability and future of our company. Fortunately, as professional organizers, we operate a lean machine. Our biggest costs go to our biggest assets, our team.
What your support will mean to us
We started this business with nothing more than passion and hard work. We’ve made a lot of sacrifices and faced some hard decisions. We have worked long hours and weathered difficult situations, but what has made it all worth it are the relationships we’ve built along the way. The DwellWell family consists not only of our team but of our clients too, many of whom we’ve been working with since our inception. We are doing all we can to stay in business so that we are able to retain and support our extraordinary team members and so that we can meet the needs of our clients who have come to depend on our services.
One of the best things to come from the virus and the surreal resulting worldwide shutdown is the persistent human connection, community and generosity that has shown up in so many forms. Your support will help our extended DwellWell community to thrive in the midst of uncertainty. We humbly ask and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your contribution. Wishing health and happiness to you and yours.
In this together,
Stacey & Sarah
