The Dwellingup Discovery Forest  (DDF) is an area of forest around Dwellingup that is under threat of bauxite mining by global mining giant Alcoa.

The DDF Defenders group are opposed to the proposed mining expansion and the increased rate of forest clearing by Alcoa. The expansion is set to encroach upon the Dwellingup Discovery Forest and devalue the natural beauty and conservation values of the worlds only naturally occurring Jarrah Forest.
