Support for Our Beloved Mother's Memorial
Donation protected
Our beautiful mother died this morning. She was the absolute best mother and wife in the whole wide world and the greatest grandma. To all family and friends who would like to support us during this time, we ask that you please donate here. Thank you all so much.
Mom never stopped praising God and when she forgot everything towards the end, when she forgot her own name, when she forgot the names of her children and the names of her grandchildren and her husband's name, mom never forgot the name of God. She loved God and she taught us to love God and to love others.

Our beloved mother Itagia Taiala Crichton passed away this morning July 13, 2024 at 7:05am. She fought for her life until she took her last breath today. She did not want to let go. She held on for as long as she could. She was definitely a fighter/ warrior.
Our mom had many health issues. She was born with diabetes, had high blood pressure, kidney failure, heart failure and the list goes on.
On March 2, 2023 mom was hospitalized for a month at Saint Francis hospital. She refused to do dialysis because she did not feel like her body could handle it and she did not like needles or anything that had to do with machines.
After being at Saint Francis Hospital for about a month. Mom was discharged and placed on hospice care from March 28, 2023 until September 22, 2023. On September 23, 2023 she was taken off hospice because of more health complications that occurred. So we called 911 and had her transported to Saint Anne Hospital where she then stayed until January 26, 2024.
She finally agreed to start dialysis right away while she was there and also had to undergo two surgeries for her toe infection on her right foot. Mom endured multiple surgeries and had over 10 strokes.
Mom wanted to do whatever it took to save her foot/leg, but especially to save her life. She told us that she wanted to live and fight no matter what happens and that’s what she did.
She fought long and hard. Mom was then placed at an adult family home on January 27, 2024 where she lived until June 5, 2024. During her stay at the adult family home. She was attending all her dialysis appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday which helped her for months, but her body made little progress and her health declined even more.
Mom was hospitalized many times because her kidneys were shutting down even with her doing dialysis three times a week. After so many hospitalizations she was never the same. All her organs started to shut down following her kidneys and she became bedridden unable to get out of bed without support.
She started to lose her vision slowly and almost all of her memories. After everything that she has been through. She worshipped God every single day. Every time we would walk into her room. Her hands would be in the air saying “Thank you Jesus.” “I love you God.” “Thank you for your love Jesus.”
God was with mom through it all. He never ever left her side. Mom is the strongest woman we know. Nearing the end mom told us that she was so tired. She wanted to stop everything and just come home. The only thing she wanted was to come home and be surrounded by her family.
We finally brought her home to spend the last of her time with her children and grandchildren. We kept her comfortable as best as we could until she was ready to go and be with our Heavenly Father in Heaven.
It was so hard seeing our mom in the condition that she was in. It’s never easy to see your loved one hurting/ in pain. It’s the hardest thing ever. Losing our mom is the most heartbreaking moment in all of our lives.
Mom, you fought a good fight. You finished the race. You kept the faith. Now you can finally rest and sleep in peace. No more pain until we all meet again. We love you so much.
Daddy doesn’t fully understand what’s going on but we will take good care of him and don’t you worry about us. We will all be okay mom. Fly high with the angels. You are loved and will always be missed here on earth. At this time we would like to ask all of our family and friends to help us raise funds to put our dear mom to rest. Anything helps.
Thank you all for your love, support, unconditional love and prayers. God bless you all.
