Hi, my name is Candice Lightning, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story.

it is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that our dear Dwayne Lightning passed away on the 21/12/2025. It is a very painful moment for our family right now & especially leading up to Christmas and we are trying to arrange for the funeral. We want to give Dwayne a respectful service that celebrates who they were and how much they were loved.

Our beloved Dwayne recently passed on 21/12/2025 Dwayne was a wonderful Son, nephew, brother, uncle and friend, who touched the lives of those around him. He was a deaf and mute gentleman who lived his 49 years in silence.

Dwayne collapsed on Wednesday morning & was airlifted to Townsville Hospital, where we found out the devasting news of his catastrophic event, He had a massive stroke in the most important part of your brain the basilar artery that controls every function in your body so motor functions, heart, breathing and your organs. In which had to turn off his life support on the 21/12/25

We are all devastated by Dwayne’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service especially 4 days leading up to Christmas We want to give Dwayne the funeral He deserves, to honour His memory and say our last goodbyes.
