Dwayme and Erikas Broken Bathroom Fund

Hi, y'all know us, probably. It's Dwayme and Erika from the internet.

A few weeks back we noticed water dripping from the ceiling in our hallway while the shower was in use.

Since then the problem has spread to basically anytime water is running in the bathroom.

We live in an old ass house that was owned by an old old lady before we moved in, and our bathroom guy (yes we have a bathroom guy now) reckons that the much heavier use, and much heavier people using, the bathroom has really done a number on the old old plumbing and fittings.

So, long and the short of it is, we need a new bathroom, and it's gonna cost just so much money. In order to fix the plumbing the workmen need to rip the floor up and the tiling off the walls, and because it's not yet damaged the structure of the house it's not covered under our insurance, it's a hot nightmare basically. Both of us are dealing with chronic illness and business has not been good of late, so it's currently looking impossible for us to ever take a shower again without a bit of help.

The best quote we've found is for around 10k, and while we in no way expect to raise the full amount, if we can even raise enough for a downpayment so we can pay the rest off in installments that would be a huge huge help, and a massive weight of both our minds.

We know it's a big ask, and that everyone is struggling right now, and it's not been an easy decision to ask for help. Please only contribute if you can comfortably afford it, and thank you so much in advance to anyone who does so.
