Hello!

My name is Alaina/Layna- and I am also known online through my dice moniker “Stardust Creatives”.

Back in February, with the help of Kofi donations I was able to get a dental extraction and bridgework done to save two other teeth affected that were putting me in extreme pain.

This issue is stemming from me not having available dental insurance for years prior, or the ability to cover work being done on teeth affected by the spread of my wife’s periodontal bacteria. I was not even aware that it was something that could be spread and affect me until her procedures were done and the dentist explained it.

So my teeth have also been basically crumbling even with brushing/flossing/general care.

During my procedure in Feb, I was told that I had 4 other teeth that were barely holding on from needing root canals. I know that extracting teeth can be easier, but these are my molars mostly and I am horrified at the idea that I won’t be able to chew.

Currently, my left side back two molars on my upper jaw have cracked and are missing pieces- as well as a tooth I had worked on when I was 16 on my lower jaw under them, which broke due to the amalgam filling weakening over time.

I have been trying to do daily rinses and brushing with “fast acting pain relief” toothpaste and flossing them as carefully as I can, but I’ve hit the point where I am in constant pain and can barely eat.

I called the dentist and was informed my insurance will not reset until after January 2nd, and since I used it for my other large procedure I’d have to pay for these out of pocket which the girl I spoke with quoted me at roughly $3144 or a little over if anything else had to be done(she just flat out said “I’d try to have x amount when coming in”.

I currently barely make enough to pay my bills because of other medical issues I’ve experienced this last year. A lot of kind people have helped me survive through commissions and even donations- and I cannot thank anyone enough for that. I would not be here most likely without that kindness with how hard it’s been.

And I genuinely hate to ask for help here, but I don’t think I can make it to January with this level of pain. I’ve been taking combos of Advil/Tylenol on and off but the amount I have to take isn’t healthy or safe just to dull the pain right now.

I haven’t made a go fund me before, so I appreciate you taking the time to read everything and any help that is received.
