Help Rebuild Jamaica After the Hurricane

On Tuesday, October 21, a devastating hurricane ripped through several parts of Jamaica, leaving behind widespread destruction — from families losing their homes to roads being completely washed away.

I’ve been following countless videos and updates on TikTok, and I’ve spoken to family members who are living through this tragedy. Sadly, there are still loved ones we haven’t been able to reach. Through all the devastation, one thing that stands out in every story is the incredible resilience of the Jamaican people. Even after losing everything, they continue to say:

“We may have lost it all, but we still have life.”

It’s going to take a village to help Jamaica recover, and that’s where we come in. My cousin Vennisha and I (Nerissa) are raising funds to provide essential supplies to families in need — food, clothing, and basic necessities that are currently hard to come by. Many supermarkets are empty, and perishable foods have spoiled, making it difficult for people to access even the simplest meals. People are hungry and need food.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward purchasing and shipping supplies. We are packing barrels to send to trusted individuals on the ground who will distribute them, or we will travel to Jamaica ourselves to ensure donations reach those who need them most.

Anything you give — big or small — makes a real difference. Together, we can bring relief, hope, and love to the people of Jamaica as they rebuild their lives.
