This is my beautiful wife Jennifer(and mother in law) and the love of my life. Jennifer is former Captain in the Air Force. Jennifer served as Critical Care flight nurse and currently works as a registered nurse at the Veterans Affairs Administration.
Last May, we celebrated Jennifer's birthday May 26th in Key West, Fl. The day before her birthday tragedy struck my beautiful wife. Jennifer was struck by a jet ski and knocked un-conscience. As a result, Jennifer had to be airlifted to Kendall Regional Trauma Center in Miami.
It sad that Jennifer celebrated her birthday attached to a mechanical ventilator. Jennifer sustained a head bleed and a variety of other injuries. I can count my blessings, I did not lose my wife Jennifer to this horrible tragedy. Jennifer's recovery has been very slow.
Jennifer is being treated by Neurologist for her head injury and her recovery has been slow. As result of the head injury, Jennifer cannot tolerate bright light and loud noise and she spends most of her day in a dark room and very little noise.
For Jennifer's multiple musculoskeletal injuries she is being treated by orthopedic surgeons, Pain specialists, and physical therapist. At this time, Jennifer cannot walk very far without the aid of a wheelchair or cane.
Lastly, Jennifer as a result of her injury needs the help of a Psychiatrist, psychologists, and a speech therapist. As a result of the tragedy, Jennifer is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and memory disorders.
I'm not sure when Jennifer will return to work. I have faith that she will recover from her injuries.
People who know me know I hate to ask for help, but this dilemma is beyond my pride. Due to ongoing medical bills. I am not able to keep up with Jennifer's medical expenses. I am also starting to feel the stress of this tragedy my mental and physical health is beginning to suffer. I would appreciate if you could help or pray for fast recovery.
