Danielle (Dani) Baker Carro is a graduate of Berwick High School’s class of 1987.  Dani is our daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend and she has breast cancer.  She has been to many medical appointments, she has undergone one surgery, she will soon be having additional surgery, and then chemo.    She has been married to her husband, Bryan, for 14 years and they have two beautiful children, Benjamin, 11, and Casey, 10.  She and her family recently moved back to Berwick from the Washington DC area so they could enjoy a less stressful lifestyle.  Bryan works full-time out of the home and Dani works from home part-time as a clerk in the patent law field.    Bryan has health insurance through his work but it is limited and will not cover all of Dani’s medical expenses.  Bryan will be taking some unpaid time off work to be with Dani after her surgeries and during her treatments.  Because Dani is self-employed, every time that she is not able to work due to medical appointments, recovery and treatments, she does not get paid.  Not only will not all of the medical bills be covered, but they won’t have the income to meet their normal living expenses.  We hope that you can help in any way that you can so that Dani and Bryan don’t have to worry about finances during this difficult time and so that Dani can have stress free time to heal.  We thank you for your help.
