On Friday, May 23rd, our dad suffered a major cerebellar stroke accompanied by a brain bleed, as well as a right atrial interatrial septal aneurysm in his heart. In addition to these life-threatening events, he experienced diabetic shock at 4:00 a.m. and was immediately hospitalized. He is currently receiving care and undergoing extensive occupational and physical therapy at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
He is awake but faces significant challenges. He is currently unable to walk very far and uses a walker and he doesn’t have full use his hands just yet, and he struggles with slurred speech and extreme fatigue. Despite these hardships, he is fighting every day to recover.
He is the sole provider for his household, and his sudden and severe medical condition has left his family facing an overwhelming financial burden. Along with the costs of critical medical treatments and rehabilitation, there are also regular living expenses that must be managed while he is unable to work.
We are humbly asking for any support you can offer during this difficult time. Your generosity will go directly toward his ongoing care, therapy, and household bills as he works toward recovery.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and for any contribution you can make.
