Please help Lisa after a life-altering accident!

On March 17, 2023, my life-long friend, Lisa, was preparing for a normal day at work when an extraordinary accident left her bedridden, on a ventilator and fighting for her life. Since that day, she has been in ICU, facing numerous set-backs, always demonstrating her strength and willpower.

On April 24, complications from the ventilator caused her heart to stop and she was resuscitated three times. She is in a fight for her life and she needs our help.

Lisa has never felt comfortable asking for help, and it is only out of necessity that she is doing so now. The ventilator has taken away her ability to speak for herself, so as her life-long friend, I am her voice.

Lisa has a warm, generous spirit and has helped many people throughout her life. She is humorous and resilient. She has faced life’s hurdles like a champ.

Before the accident, she was an over-achiever, working three jobs and being an incredible dog mom to her rescue pup Mia. She is beloved by her co-workers, friends, and elderly father, but this accident has left her return to her previous life and work uncertain.

She faces a long road ahead. She will need specialized vent-weaning, long term rehab to regain her muscle strength, mobility and speech. She is already at her second hospital with the certainty of another to follow. Every day that goes by is another that she cannot work to provide for herself or begin to assess what her medical financial responsibility will be.

Lisa has the spirit of a survivor and has already defied the odds. Please help me show her that she has help in this battle. She needs our financial support, no matter how small, to help elevate her financial distress. She needs to focus all of her energy on rehab, and needs us to help ensure she has the resources to continue fighting.
