For my Mom

Last night the unpredictable happened for my mom, Evelyn, a kitchen fire. As a lot of you know my mom moved to LA about 5 years ago to peruse her dream career and have a fresh start. She has a nice place in Long Beach where she lives with my brother Jordon 28, and his daughter Londyn who is 2. Around 8:00pm last night, she went to make some dinner for herself. The next thing she knew the whole kitchen was engulfed in flames and spread throughout. From this fire and smoke damage all three of them were left with nothing. The only thing that made it through the fire was my moms pet fish that she has had for years. He was incredibly blessed because he was in the kitchen but somehow managed to be okay. I’m making this GoFundMe to help her stay on her feet while things get worked out. We don’t have a time frame as to when she will be back in her place. With this fire she lost everything, Londyns Christmas toys, clothes, everything. There are things that are gone that money could never fix or replace, but at least it will help with the large deductible that has to be paid and take her mind off of some things. We appreciate anything that you can do even if it’s just a share and a prayer. *****UPDATE AS OF 1/7 The insurance companies have came in and decided that the whole apartment is a total loss.. as of right now it is completely boarded up and no one is allowed back in. The fire was so damaging that her entire place will have to be completely gutted... walls, floor, ceiling, all of it. The estimated time will be 8-10 months before she can return. We are very sadden by the items lost but happy that everyone is okay. Its hard to think that one second you’re cooking and the next thing you know you are watching everything you own go up in flames. Electric stoves and grease are nothing to take lightly. Evelyn did everything that you are supposed to do to try to stop the fire but it spread faster than the fire extinguishers could spray. So again we appreciate all the love and support that we have seen in the past few days. My mom and brother are still trying to figure it out but we are happy they are okay. These are the only pictures we have for now. I will keep updating this post as i know more.
