Hello friends,

We are Ana and Efi and on Sunday the 7th of August our Dad, our stepmother, little brother and sister lost their home and business to a wildfire that ravaged thousands of acres in Evia, in Northern Greece.

Their home which was located in the heart of a pine forest burned down along with all of their possessions. Our father (who is a carpenter) also lost his carpentry workshop and the machines he used for his work and our stepmother lost her soap making workshop. The home was more than a house, it was a life long mission from everyone that lived there to live a community focused life where friends and strangers were always welcomed. The aim behind the house was to tread lightly on the planet and live as self-sustainably as possible with generators and solar panels for electricity, a wood burning stove for heating and an always abundant garden. Surrounding the house were planted fruit trees which provided fruit for the inhabitants for three decades and were also lost in the fire along with all of the family's farm animals which also perished.

We are asking for your help to support the rebuilding efforts so that they can start to put their lives back together after this tragedy. Our target goal would be a great first step in helping our family get the materials needed to start the construction work and get them back on their feet.

Γεια σας φιλοι μας

Ειμαστε η Ανα και η Ευτυχια.

Στις 7 Αυγούστου, ο πατέρας μας, η μητρια μας και τα αδελφια μας χάσανε το σπιτι τους απο τη φωτιά που έκαψε εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες στρέμματα στη Βόρεια Εύβοια.

Το σπιτι τους βρησκοταν στην καρδια του πευκοδάσους και εγινε στάχτη μαζι με ολα τους τα υπάρχοντα.

Επισης ο πατερας μας έχασε το ξυλουργειο του και ολα του τα μηχανήματα και η μητριά μας το εργαστήριο σαπουνιών της.

Το σπιτι τους, Παλια Σκάλα,ηταν κατι παραπανω απο ενα απλο σπιτι.Ηταν εργο ζωης για οσους ζούσαν εκει κοινοτικά και φιλόξενα για φιλους και περαστικούς.Ο στόχος τους ηταν να πατάνε ελαφριά πανω στον πληγωμένο μας πλανητη και με την μεγαλύτερη δυνατή αυτάρκεια. Στοιχεια του σπιτιου ηταν τα φωτοβολταϊκά πάνελ, η γεννήτρια, η ξυλόσομπα και τα άφθονα λαχανικά του μπαξέ.

Γυρω απο το σπιτι ηταν φυτεμένα φρούτοδέντρα που χάριζαν νόστιμα φρουτα εδω και 3 δεκαετίες . Ολα αυτα καθως και τα ζωα της οικογενειας χάθηκαν στη φωτιά.

Ζητάμε τη βοηθεια σας για να υποστηρίξουμε την προσπαθεια

ανοικοδόμησης και επανασυναρμολογησης των ζωων που έπληξε αυτη η τραγωδία.

Ο οικονομικός μας στόχος ειναι ενα σημαντικο πρωτο βημα για να βοηθησουμε την οικογενεια μας να αγοράσει οικοδομικά υλικά για να μπορεσουν να ξεκινήσουν το χτίσιμο των κατεστραμμένων οικημάτων και να ξαναστηθούν στα ποδια τους.
