Help Luna get surgery

Donation protected
A few months ago, my sister and her husband noticed Luna was not utilizing her back legs appropriately. She would limp, waddle and lift her legs up in the air when she squatted to pee. When they took her to the vet, they found out she had torn both of her back ACL’s (a common injury for pits) and would need double knee surgery. They inquired about pet insurance but unfortunately at this point it wouldn’t be covered as it was now a pre-existing condition. Shortly after this, we found out my sister and her husband were expecting. At this time, it was best for them to keep Luna as comfortable as possible without surgery since my sister would not be able to help Luna since she was pregnant. Fast forward to today, Luna is unable to utilize her back legs at all. She struggles to get up and has had to be confined to her crate when they are not around to help her. Luna is about to be two years old. She is still a puppy and is so full of life and energy. She deserves the best life they can give her and this includes surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery is $10,000 ($5,000 per knee) and is scheduled for the end of January. With a new baby, two dogs, a house any little bit can help them. Luna is the sweetest, most gentle and most affectionate pit. She is my brother in laws soulmate in dog form. I know they would be forever grateful for any help anyone can give to aid Luna in improving her quality of life. All she wants is to be able to run around with her fur brother and her new baby sister in the future.
