Quentin's Medical Fund
Donation protected

As some of you may know, my friends Sarah and Mikey’s 2 year old cat Quentin recently fell from the window of their 6 story high rise apartment building. After Sarah couldn’t find Quentin around their apartment, she started searching all around their apartment complex, and finally found him huddled in a corner outside. His face was all bloody and he was unable to walk on his two front arms. She rushed him to the hospital, where they told her that he had broken both of his elbows and his jaw, had a collapsed lung, and possibly a ruptured bladder. Over the next few hours he arrested twice and was brought back to life, and was at risk of being blind and having significant brain trauma.
Although things looked dire, the doctors were optimistic because he is such a young cat and recommended transferring him to another hospital that was better equipped to handle the severity of his condition. He was placed on breathing and feeding tubes until he was in good enough shape for them to perform surgery on both his elbows. The amazing team at ASEC was able to perform miracles and his overall health has drastically improved. The surgery was successful, but his recovery continues to remain challenging. Quentin continues to damage the plates implanted on his elbows, and has required two additional surgeries as a result.
Mikey and Sarah know how hard Quentin has been fighting to survive, and they know they have to continue to do anything they can to help him. It has been an emotional ride for them, both upsetting and stressful, and also for Quentin’s bother Marty who continues to cry from missing cuddling with his brother.
They are so thankful Quentin survived the fall, but his road to recovery is still a long one, and unfortunately a very expensive one. With all of the overnight hospital stays and surgeries, Quentin’s medical bills are currently totaled at around $14,000. Sarah and Mikey don’t often ask for help, but I set up this fund to try to ease their financial burden. Any amount that you might be able to donate will help. Nothing is too small! Sarah and Mikey are the most loving and generous people, and I know they would do anything to help someone else in their position!
