Medical Bills & Travel Expense

To all our wonderful friends and family you have been so supportive of me  and  my family  it's  hard to believe it has been a whole year already since my jouney began.  We have been blessed by so many of God's foot soldiers and I know many of you are among them I can't thank you enough.  One struggle Dan and I have to go along with is my treatments is their costs.  Our first two months of treatment last year included a pretty expensive surgery and Mayo was out of network at the time.  We spent lots of time between Mayo and our inurance and are struggling with how to reduce the billing we have recieved.  I sadly have been involved in infusions, gamma knife brain surgery, hospitalizations and even amulance rides from Waterloo to Rochester.  It seems the costs are a never ending battle, but our biggest concern is those first two months that we are just buried under.  I know everyone has busy lives and families and I appreciate all you've done over the past year helping my family.  I also know some of you have wanted to reach out financially and I was influenced to open up this page by a few friends.  Again I can't thank you all enough for your kindness and how you all have taken such loving care of me and my family.   My trials have been constant since this all began, but God has also constatly surrounded me with his love through so many of you.  I'm in the middle of a couple different chemo treatments right and at the end of the month I will get a scan of my brain to see if the swelling has gone down.  If I can get the swelling to reduce and get my steriods weaned down I will have the opportunity for yet another treatment that just got released a week ago.  There is a new immunotherapy that has been having the best results so far of any other melanoma treatment and I could possibly start that by the end of October.  I will keep you updated as I go.  So again thank you so much for all your support for my family and I.
