Ezekiell is your normal 9 year old rambunctious kid. He's a loving older brother and cousin.
It all started with a drooping eyelid and changes in behavior. His mother took him in to see his eye doctor for the drooping eyelid but was told he needed an MRI to see if by chance he has some type of infection behind his eye causing the problem. Then it got worse, his speech had gotten worse and he started to have really bad arm tremors. After speaking to his doctor on 4/13 She was told to take him to the emergency room in hopes to get an MRI sooner. After doing the MRI the news was not what anyone wanted. They had found mass that has been growing over a couple of years on his brain. They sent him to doernechers that same day to be sedated for a better picture. He had his second MRI on Friday 4/14. The results were not good. The tumor is bigger then originally thought and taking up a large portion of the left side of his brain affecting his memory and speech side causing permanent damage. He will have to have surgery to remove the tumor which is scheduled for Wednesday 4/19. Doctors are hoping he will regain some of his old normal habits overtime. The believe he has lost a portion of his vision in his right eye they he will not get back.
At this moment it is unknown if the tumor is cancerous tumor or not. Pathology results will take a couple weeks to get back.
Healing time for this kind of surgery can take a while so he will be at Doernbechers for some time.
Please send your love and prayers his way. We really appreciate all the support he's gotten and any help he receives.
