Hello, my name is Selen, I just recently lost my job and thankfully got another one the same day. But somehow, missing a week of work for interviews, orientation, and starting the job has set me back a month's worth of income. I jumped back into being a working parent after spending the past year and a half being a stay-at-home mom. While I have started a new job, I still haven’t gotten paid from it. I’m currently looking for a second job. My spouse stays home with our daughter so I can work, but him not working has caused a decrease in our income as well as the pay cut I’ve taken from losing my previous job. I work the grave shift and I’m looking for a day shift position. We have tried putting her in daycare, but they are all full in our area. I’m working every week, every day that I’m on the schedule, and we are still homeless. We are living and have been living in a hotel, and while I’m waiting for my check to come in, I’m using this as a last resort as I have no one and nowhere else to turn to. This is so embarrassing for me and my little family, but I’m asking for donations to pay my rent up for a month as well as my car note and insurance so I can save money to go toward getting another apartment.
Or if I could use the money to go toward getting into an apartment and the moving process it will take. I’m begging, I’ve been keeping my faith in God the strongest I’ve ever in my life. And while I have been in worse situations, I’m trying to avoid them for my daughter. I know there are other ways I could be making money, especially as a woman. I’m not asking for any handouts, I’m desperately in need of help. If my spouse was to start a new job, or I was to finally get a second one, we would still have to wait one or two weeks before we get paid. My daughter has clothes, food, and diapers, but we have to have somewhere to live. Please, if you can, help us.
