In March of 2020, I found myself sitting in an abusive prison for 20 years. 17 surgeries a year due to my ex husband. I had to escape. I was dying. I could no longer live in this prison. My daughter was 12 at the time turning 13. I silently packed a bag and left. I did it. I left terrified for my life.
However, I was dying and needed my life saved. This was only the beginning of what I went through medically and emotionally. I was also abused by the legal system as I couldn't afford a prolonged fight. I was at my lowest part of my life. I’m disabled. Not sure how much time I have left. However, I have had 3 surgeries this past month to save my life or to prolong my life. I have medical bills. My ex hasn’t helped with anything. The judge made me pay for everything. I’m on disability with an extremely low fixed income.
The money will go straight to fees to the high school so my daughter can graduate high school and get her diploma, and any additional will go to her college, and of course to my mounting medical debt. My daughter works very hard while also in school, and that covers basically the gas to get her to and from school and work.
We are behind 2 months on our rent, and are due to be homeless in a few weeks. Anything will help us, and you would literally be saving my life, and my daughter's future.
