Anne-Maree Alley Mitchell is a 34yo beautiful young lady who grew up in Cumberland Street Berkeley.
Anne-Maree met Bronson Alley and together they made a lovely life and family. Lachlan 14yo, Amelia 4yo and baby Remington who is 2yo.
A few years ago Anne-Maree & Bronson decided to move back to Berkeley, and moved in with Anne-Maree's parents, Steve & Kerrie Mitchell.
Until one day, back in August they decided to drive to Queensland to visit Bronson's family.
Whilst driving through Woodburn, near Ballina NSW on Saturday 23rd August 2014 everything changed in an instant for Anne-Maree and Bronson and their children. What was meant to be a happy family holiday has ended in disaster. They where hit by a car towing a caravan trying to pass a B Double truck at Woodburn NSW on Sat 23rd August.
Bronson was killed instantly and Anne-Maree was airlifted to the University Hospital on the Gold Coast where she clung to life. Anne-Maree has undergone multiple surgeries to make her better and due to her horrific injuries she is now facing life as a paraplegic.
The children all survived without much injury, however they have witnessed way to much for their ages and will require counselling.
Steve and Kerrie (Anne-Maree's parents) are now trying to deal with the fallout of this tradgedy. And this has included Kerrie having to give up her job to care for the children.
Anne-Maree has since been transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Where she is now undergoing intensive spinal rehab to hopefully get home to Berkeley in 2015.
Steve & Kerrie are now caring for the little ones while Anne-Maree undergoes rehab. This will continue until at least March 2015.
And the family now travel from Berkeley to Randwick where the hospital is most days of the week to enable Anne-Maree to see her children and to encourage her to get better soon.
This has put a considerable amount of strain on the whole family, not just emotionaly but also financially. Over the past few months they have had to pay for accommodation near the hospitals and air fares whilst Anne-Maree was in hospital in Queensland and more recently there is the cost of petrol to travel to Randwick as well as ongoing child care, living expenses and now Christmas to ensure the children don't miss out and this has been slowly draining their bank accounts of any savings.
The family just want to be by Anne-Maree's side all the time, as any family would be. It would be so nice if they had one less thing to worry about so this is why I am putting this up.
Times are hard for everyone these days, and you can imagine the detriment of such an unforeseen event. Any small amount can help. You would have our undying gratitude and we promise to pay it forward in any way we can. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read this.

I have added a few photo's of Anne-Maree which were taken over the past few weeks, to show everyone how strong she is. Anne-Maree has come along way in the past few weeks and she spends some time with her children & family during the day when she is not working hard at her rehabilitation. Keep up the hard work Anne-Maree. Xxx

Friday 12th December, Anne-Maree said goodbye to her husband Bronson. And Lachlan, Amelia & Remington said goodbye to their father. This was the hardest day in Anne-Maree's life.
They celebrated Bronson's life with a release of 41 balloons. One balloon for every year if his life.
One balloon was extra special & was red in colour. This red balloon represented two special moments.
1. How strong Anne-Maree & Bronson's love was for each other. And
2. Their red cattle dog 'Red'', who was tragically run over by a car when he got out during a thunderstorm in the weeks following the families car accident.
Anne-Maree is continuing her rehab at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, but was allowed to spend the weekend in Wollongong for Bronson's funeral. Anne-Maree was lucky enough to be able to hire medical equipment to enable her stay at a motel in Wollongong for the weekend. This then allowed Anne-Maree to stay close to family for this special weekend and she was lucky to have taxi transport each day from the motel to her home, where she could spend the days with her children and family and friends.

Just a few photo's to show everyone how far Anne-Maree has come in four months. Keep on fighting Anne-Maree xxx
