We all know and love Larry "Dutch" Holland (aka Mr. Holland) and appreciate his service throughout his life. From Vietnam to the state patrol, Peach Corps to Ilwaco math teacher, to the county fair and his Menlo neighbors, Dutch has positively influenced others with his generous heart and has touched the lives of so many. On August 20th, 2025, tragedy struck his Menlo, WA home through a devastating fire. In his words:

"I Need Your Help After Losing Everything in a House Fire

With a heavy heart, I want to share that my home was recently destroyed in a devastating fire. Tragically, I did not have homeowners insurance at the time — something I never imagined would matter so much until now.

The loss has been overwhelming. Not only did I lose my home, but also everything inside — the memories, the keepsakes, the pieces of my daily life. As I begin the long and difficult journey of rebuilding, I'm leaning on the strength of our community for support.

If you feel moved to help, any contribution, no matter the size, would make a meaningful difference as I work to rebuild our lives and create a new place to call home.
