We’ve been incredibly touched by the number of people asking how they can sponsor animals in our care — many people don’t realise that we operate without any financial or government support. We rely entirely on our own income and donations from the community. Despite providing an essential 24/7 emergency service we receive little formal backing, making public awareness and local support crucial to our services survival.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing stories about some of the animals being cared for at Dutch Thunder Wildlife Shelter in Koonoomoo, Victoria, Australia. Each post will highlight an individual animal, tell you their story and give you the opportunity to donate directly towards their medical bills, feed costs and overall care while they recover and grow with us.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us give these animals the care they deserve.
