Dusty and Shae Kilgore
Dusty and Shae are some of the best people I know and recently had a terrible accident involving 3 of their family members. They are currently commuting to Galveston to visit the hospital and every little bit that can help them with transportation, lodging, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I know they wouldn’t ask for any help on their own so I am asking for them. I also ask that you keep their family in your prayers during these times.
Post from Shae:
Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life and the most scariest I’ve experienced so far as a mother. I was cleaning the garage and we had a burn pile going …..just a few boxes nothing big…. I had two can of gas in the garage a good 15 or more feet away from the boxes burning. Next thing I know I hear Rylan scream ”Logan no” and I turned around to see Logan pushed over the entire jug of gas which was running across the garage downhill towards the fire. He get grabbed Logan and started running towards me and then the fire ignited. All I seen was two of my babies and fire coming up behind them. He threw Logan at me and I grabbed him and pulled him as hard as I could to the side of me but the fire got his backside and legs I heard Logan screaming first His feet were on fire I grabbed him ran across the flames into the grass ripping his shoes off and Rylan was running too but he was screaming from the burns then there was a loud explosion in the garage where the and it engulfed in flames Ambulance came and they took all threeof us to the hospital I’m fine physically I have pretty rough burns on my right foot and ankle Logan has burns on his legs from his shoes catching fire but Rylan was burned 40% of his body and was transported to Shriners last night where he has MULTIPLE surgeries ahead of him Please keep our family and Rylan especially in your prayers Rylan always talks about how he wants to be a marine when he grows up, and his actions yesterday were the bravest and most selfless of any kid I’ve ever known. So in the words of Steve Holland ” he is already a marine in my eyes” He saved his brothers life, no question about it. He is a hero and he is most certainly MY HERO! I love you so much Rylan, your the strongest bravest kid I’ve ever met. Everything is going to be okay
