Dustin’s Road To Recovery From Open Heart

Hey Everyone, my dad (Dustin Gray) has been having some heart issues and was hospitalized in January. The findings didn’t seem urgent according to the doctor but that in time he did need to have a repair on a leaky valve but it was not too bad. Between then and now he has been seeing a couple doctors and doing some tests and had a few episodes with his heart and it all led to an angiogram on 6/7. The following morning he had a complication with the site of the incision and in extreme pain. He was told to go straight to the ER but was later cleared and instructed to see his cardiologist the next day Friday 6/10. At that appointment he was told “my bad” I never actually looked at the scans in January, just went based off the report which made it seem not so urgent. But looking at the images from the angiogram from 6/7 you need it now. He was referred to a cardiothoracic surgeon and saw him on 6/15 and was told he would not be eligible for the less invasive surgery or the valve repair but would have undergo full open heart surgery to replace the very leaky valve and that his surgery would be in less than a week on 6/21. This was also my step mom, and his wife, Priscilla’s second day of her new job. So she has zero time off right now. And my dad is the owner operator of Gray’s Pool Service so there is no employees to keep up with the work other than his step daughter who only knows the minimum. Several accounts have canceled already and with the loss of income from that, not to mention no form of disability income available. The medication cost and medical bills are already piling and of course the cost of living never goes away. So if you have anything to give and to help it would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
