Dustins story
Almost a year ago we started to notice some skin issues/ lumps on Dustin, we didn't think anything of it, he didn't have any crazy symptoms, may 2023 is when it all went down hill, in may we finally decided we need to get checked out because these lumps have gotten bigger, his right side of his neck, his right side of the armpit, and his left groin, we went to a dermatologist to have two biospys done and were told he had tattoo ink in his lymph nodes and it was a infection, they gave him antibiotics of some sort to flush it out, and referred him to the florida cancer center,
labor day weekend dustin got super sick fast, he couldn't keep food down, he was puking, can't sleep, and had chest pain thinking it was his back that he just tweaked it, he left the tuesday after labor day, to go out of town for work, ( if you know dustin hes so hard working and works so hard to provide for his family) just to call me the next day to please come get him, i drove to pensacola and back in a day just so the next day we can get into the florida cancer center, just to be told and looked at funny that they indeed dont think that its tattoo ink. unfortunately no one believes this. No Dr has ever heard of this, and the word lymphoma has been thrown around, the cancer center scheduled a blood testing and a pet scan,
Friday morning 9/8, Dustin woke up puking, dry heaving, and in really bad chest pain, he left to go to his mom's to shower to come back and had shortness of breath, leaning over the bed trying to breath, after that I knew we had to take him, we get to the emergency room about 11am and have been here since, we don't have a full diagnosis just yet, but coming here we find out, Dustin has fluid in both is lungs, his spleen is enlarge, every lymph node in his body is swollen, high white blood count , high calcium, and as of now we are waiting on them draining the fluid from his lungs and getting a lymph node removed to send for biopsy once again because everyone doesnt believe its just tattoo ink, ( surgery for lymph removal is tomorrow sunday 9/10 at 8am, the Dr's have told us they are 85 percent sure it's lymphoma, but there's always that 15 percent chance it's not, and we're praying and hoping it's not,
Unfortunately we don't know anything until this bisopy comes back and we know 100 percent sure what diagnosis were dealing with, but as of now we are still admitted and can be for quite a few days,
Dustin is the only income we have due to me being a stay at home mom, as iv been applying for jobs, as of now Dustin doesn't know when he will be going back to work or IF he can, again we know nothing,
We don't like asking for hands out, but we have 2 beautiful young kids , a home and bills, and we have no insurance as well since weve been paying out of pocket for everything,
we need all the help, the prayers, and support
Thank you ❤️
Keep dustin in your thoughts and prayers.
We love you , you're strong.
Update: Wednesday 9/13 we were told the results, we are up against hodgkins lymphoma, we were told it was highly treatable and treatments start Friday September 15th .
