Hello Everyone.
We are happy to let you know that Dustin is feeling much better since his motorcycle accident on September 30th. He suffered severe post tramatic pain caused by an amputated left foot/ankle, sprained right ankle, fractured right leg, broken left femur, fractured pelvis, bruised lungs, broken ribs, moderate brain injury, liver dysfunction, right broken wrist and hand, and the loss of a lot of blood needing several blood transfusions. He was told that he would need to spend 1 week in ICU, 4 weeks in a start up rehab, and finish with 3 weeks in advanced rehab. He had so much drive, determination, and support from all of you that he was discharged from the hospital in 3 weeks instead of 8. So he is now home recovering with a visiting nurse, physical therapist, and occupational therapist. He is also taking daily hyperbaric treatments 2 hours a day for 30 days to help heal his amputation wound to move along the prosthetic limb quicker, as soon as the middle of November. So with all of this being said, Dustin has been out of work and racking up medical bills. He also found out that his company does not have short term disability, so there is no income right now. He will also have to begin paying for his own health insurance because he is not working. So we are asking for any size donations to help with his bills, and also to help take care of him and his amazing son Landon.
Thank you for taking the time to read Dustins story, and even considering making a donation!
