Hi, I'm Kelly-Jean, and I'm raising money for my son's Father, Dustin. He sustained severe injuries Wednesday, September 28th at Bockchoyboifood while putting out a fire. Currently, he is at the MUSC Burn unit with 2nd and 3rd-degree burns on both hands and up most of his right arm to the bicep. So far, Dustin has had three surgeries and is still unable to leave the hospital. He has a long road to recovery. We are still unsure of the effect of this trauma on his future. While his medical bills will most likely be covered, we are incurring considerable expenses. If you have any experience in the F&B world, you know these folks work hard and often live within tight margins. Such is the case with Dustin, who juggles full-time F&B work with his role as Father and co-parent. In addition to needing help with rent, bills, and childcare, we are also flying in several family members from Colorado to help with in-home care. Dustin is a tough guy who cracks jokes and has buddied up with all the Nurses and Doctors taking care of him, but he needs all of our love and support right now.
