Elayna is a 35-year-old mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, coach and a high school teacher, student council advisor, NHS advisor, and leads Godfrey Lee's Spanish Club.
In the past few years, Elayna and her family have been dealing with many challenges; however, they have handled them with grace. Just before Christmas 2015 their family lost their little boy James at 23 weeks pregnant. As if that wasn't enough...now Elayna has breast cancer.
While Elayna says she is blessed with wonderful health insurance, there are many needs while going through chemo that are not covered. These funds will help pay for gas for traveling to appointments, a hot tub that has been recommended by her doctors at the University of Michigan, and time off for family members to help Elayna as she continues her brave fight.
