Meet the Duran family. They lost everything in the “Camp Fire” that recently roared through Paradise, CA. Not only did they lose everything their immediate family also lost everything. Jaime is a friend and former co-worker. As I was hearing the devastating news of the horrific situation going on in Paradise, a message from Jaime appeared letting us know that she and her family (including the furry ones) had made it out safely. I was relieved, but I know that Jaime and her family will be challenged in a way that I hope you never have to face. Rebuilding for this humble family that lived a very simple life is going to be a challenge. Imagine if you suddenly found yourself homeless, who would you turn to? What if that person was also homeless? What if your adult children (who now have children) were suddenly homeless and you couldn’t offer them help because you were homeless too? Well, that is what Jaime and Mike are facing.

I know that they are not the type to ask for help, so I am asking for them, because I believe that if many of us share a just a little, it quickly adds up and makes a big difference for those in need.
