Hey everyone! This is my dog Duquesa (Dutches). She turns 9 in May. My family and I rescued her in October 2019. She has been by my side, supporting me every day. She is seriously the most loyal, loving, caring, and smartest dog I have ever met. My heart breaks as she has recently been diagnosed with melanoma in her paw.

She will need further testing and scans to see if it has spread or if my vet will be able to remove it. So far, she will need x-rays, blood work, and the most expensive ultrasounds. It’s about $2,000.

I’m a student and work part-time to help my family financially. I really appreciate anyone who took the time out of their day to even read my post. Anything will help, even just sharing this post. I will definitely keep updating as Duquesa and I get more answers. Thank you to anyone who is able to help in any way.It is deeply appreciated❤️

Update 5/3/205

• Hi everyone! I just want to say thank you so so much for support and help through this tough time. Today we had a vet appointment and spoke with the doctor.  She is scheduled 5/9 for a full removal of the tumor. We are praying and hoping that when we get the results back it comes back non malignant. If so i’m not sure what our next steps would be. We might continue with x-rays and ultrasounds. 
  

Update 5/13/25

• Hi! Duquesa had surgery on 5/9 and the Doc was able to remove the mass in between her toes. While they were operating they did find a different mass in her mouth as well so they also removed it for a biopsy. She had a check up today 5/13 and her foot is healing good. We still don’t have the results back yet to let us know if the cancer has spread. Thank you again for everyone keeping her in your thoughts and the donations. I will check back in a few days <3
