The Possibilities That Keep Growing
Nestled in the picturesque back drop of Fort Dupont Park, in Washington, DC, the Dupont Park Adventist School (DPAS) has maintained a significant presence in the nation’s capital. Throughout its 105-year history, DPAS, formerly Washington Union Academy, has been privileged to expand the possibilities of the city’s youth by providing a stellar educational experience that fosters the academic, physical, social, and spiritual growth of its students. From 1916 to the present, the possibilities have been endless. At its inception, students were taught in the northwest home of Mrs. David Jones. As enrollment increased, expansion ensued, and the current result is the two-campus facility located in Southeast, Washington, DC.
Today, God is still growing possibilities at DPAS. Our constituents and distinguished alumni fondly herald Dupont Park Adventist School as “The School with the Eternal Advantage.” Our curriculum, which is based on common core standards and the Christian principles outlined in the Bible, goes beyond preparing students for excellence in school. We are committed to preparing students for service in their communities and service to God. The COVID-19 pandemic that has swept the world by surprise has in no way compromised our commitment. We have maintained excellence in providing a distance learning experience that promotes student achievement, fosters self-esteem, and bridges the gap between the home and school. Our virtual programs highlight the scholastic, oratory, dramatic, and musical talents of students as they virtually serve the church and community.
It is our desire to continue this phenomenal legacy of providing Christian education to our city’s most valuable resource, our children and youth. Please join us as we strive to impact the tender lives of God’s kingdom by giving liberal donations to Dupont Park Adventist School.
