UPDATE 9/5/23: This community has truly touched our hearts by all of the heartfelt support we’re receiving ❤️ We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. Ray is out of coma and off ventilator but will have a long recovery learning to walk again. Please keep praying
I am reaching out today with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency. Our family is currently experiencing an unexpected emergency and facing several crisis situations and need your help.
On August 3rd, my husband Ray Dunsavage was in a car accident and spent three weeks on a ventilator and in a medically-induced coma - his body and soul fighting for his life.
The very same day of the accident, I received a call from our landlord to inform me that she's sold our home of over 20 years here in Rahway, and we need to move.
I have multiple sclerosis and I rely on a wheelchair for mobility, which adds to our challenges.
Many of you may know Ray. An expert plumber, Ray has given his time and skills over the past two decades helping local residents - fixing urgent plumbing issues or even moving large items to help clean up after a storm.
In this difficult time, we find ourselves struggling to manage the financial burden from this emergency. Medical and legal expenses, unexpected moving costs and the sheer emotional toll having left us in a situation where we need assistance.
We are humbly reaching out to our extended family, friends, neighbors and the community for help. Your support, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to us. It would not only alleviate our financial stress but also provide us with the emotional strength to navigate through this challenging time. Any amount you can spare will make a difference and we will be forever grateful to you.
If giving financially is not possible, your thoughts, prayers and well wishes mean just as much to us.
Your support in any form means a lot to us as we face these hard times.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Andrea, Ray and our two kids
