DUNNING Stray Cats: On Sunday I first met Romica at his home in Dunning. He had posted on the Chicago Community Cats Facebook page he needed help because his home has been foreclosed. He wasn't sure what to do with all the cats he was feeding — strays, kittens and feral cats. One of his only options was to take the cats to Chicago Animal Care and Control which is already crowded (nearly at capacity) so, the cat community got into action.

We are raising money to help all these sick stray cats get to the vets and be treated. Most of the cats are sick and friendly. The cats that are feral will and have been trapped and will go to the PAWS Lurie Clinic for TNR (Trap-Nueter-Return) services which is $40 per cat. So far we have pulled eight 3 month old kittens all sick that have gone to the vet. And that bill was $620. Three 5 week old kittens went to the vet yesterday and that bill was $188.00. All these kittens are sick and would need to go back to the vet for a couple of visits. The bills are adding up and we still have more cats that need to go to the vet and be placed into foster homes. So far our vet bills are at
