Please Join WENDT CORPORATION in supporting Kim Dunning, in her battle to fight cancer!
Kim Dunning, wife of WENDT employee Chris Dunning, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Clear Cell Carcinoma in February 2019. This cancer had metastasized to her clavicle and is characterized as Stage IV kidney cancer that spread to the bone. This aggressive form of kidney cancer doesn't allow for surgery and is resistant to chemotherapy. In March 2019, Kim started immunotherapy treatment, which is a combination of two different drugs, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Unfortunately, in July the immunotherapy caused Kim's immune system to attack her pituitary gland and now has a life threatening disease called adrenal insufficiency. Because of this insufficiency, Kim will be on cortisol steroids for the remainder of her life.
In November, Kim had a radical nephrectomy removing her entire right kidney. In January 2020, she had 3 high dose radiation treatments to her clavicle.
Since her diagnosis, she's had oncology appointments, immunotherapy treatments, CT scans, surgery, palliative care, physical therapy, and radiation therapy causing an extraordinary amount of medical bills.
