My twin brother’s name is Dune Dulay, he is 23 years old and he suffers from severe ulcerative colitis. For 2 years and ongoing, he has been suffering and in constant pain with this disability. Just recently, about a month ago, his condition has taken a turn for the worse. He has lost 20 LBS in just 2.5 weeks and needed multiple blood transfusions. The doctors and the GI team my colon is diseased and the flare up can’t even be scaled on how bad it is. The GI team is waiting for authorization to start him on bio therapy because remission therapy and pills aren’t enough. They are also getting the surgery team familiarize with his situation in case it turns for the worst possible scenario.
