Dundas Legacy
Family & Friends,
Over the past year our beloved mom Hyacinth 'Ula' Dundas, fondly known as sis. D, underwent some changes in her brain function, which manifested as extreme periods of forgetfulness, and the ability to speak or articulate her words fluently, and to even think of words to express her thoughts and feelings. This resulted in mood swings and lack of interest in socializing.
Mom has now been formerly diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia. If you know our mom, she was a Teacher, and taught all levels of education, so this is very difficult for her to deal with, to say the least.
During this period, Dad, Rev. R. L. Dundas, fondly known as Bro. D, tried to adjust to the changes with his darling wife of 53 years, and it took a toll on him. Dad suffered a stroke and is currently undergoing extensive rehabilitation. Due to his condition, he is unable to be with mom in their humble abode because the stress of ensuring her welfare and safety could result in a clinical decline for him. Prior to the stroke, Dad was doing washing, shopping, and all financials. Even though we as children did as much as we could, Dad always stressed the fact that he and mom need to maintain their independence.
Mom and Dad have served God, Church, and Community for umpteen years giving of themselves to gain followers for God's Kingdom, in addition to supporting and counselling individuals that Our Saviour placed in their path.
Mom requires 24 hour in-house supervision to keep her safe, and to maintain a good quality of life.
We're reaching out in hope of assissstance in acquiring funds to cover the expenses for Mom's care, while still praying for Divine Intervention.
It is our prayer that healing will take place, but at this time, this is our reality.
Thank you, on behalf of Mom and Dad for your generous donation(s), and your faithful prayers.
Lovingly,
Arlie, Andy, Bonny, & Mikey.
