Duncan Dauber Family Support Fund

On Saturday June 19th at 7:30pm Paula, Duncan’s wife, received a phone call that forever changed her life and that of their children, Caylee 19, Dylan 15, and Sydney 10. Duncan was out for a run and from what we know, he suffered a heart attack that took him from us.
Duncan was first a son to Duane and Sheri Dauber, then a big brother to Dustin. Duncan later met his best friend and wife, Paula. Over the last 23 years they created and grew a life with their three amazing children. Duncan worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He served as a Nevada State Trooper for 10 years, and later started a career in private security detail.
Duncan was only 47 years old; taken way too soon. He loved the life he shared with Paula and was an amazing father to Caylee, Dylan, and Sydney. Duncan was always the life of the party. After meeting him, you were left thinking, I must hang out with this guy! This man of God has not only left behind his wife and children, but he has also left a hole in the hearts of those of us who had the opportunity to know him. We all carry heavy hearts today, tomorrow, and many more to come.
Friends and family are asking for your help and support during this time. This show of love will allow them time to breathe and begin to heal.
A service will be held Saturday June 26th at 1:00pm at Common Ground Church; 2310 S Carson St, Suite 2 in Carson City. Following the service, the family invites you to their family ranch to celebrate Duncan. Potluck style, BYOB and lawn chairs. Carpooling is suggested from the Park and Ride area on HWY 50. Ranch address is 5160 HWY 50 West. The Ranch gate is on the right side of HWY 50 approx 3.2 miles from the Park and Ride.

This picture is the perfect happy genuine Duncan that we all know and love. He’s not posing he’s just happy like he always was. He was my very best friend and I admit I sometimes put him before Him. I loved him too much. Way too much. He was the best father ever!! I know he knew Jesus and he’s probably playing guitar and singing mountain mama (my song) with Him right now. I know he didn’t want to go yet. He loved life and made me love it too. Duncan my love, I will make you proud l! I’ll take care of these kids God blessed us with and be strong for them because that’s what you’d expect me to do. I will love you forever and ever!
